Lots of chatter in our comments today after Desperate Housewives, airing vs. The Golden Globe Awards on NBC, hit a series low 18-49 preliminary rating.

I have just one question for all the disgruntled fans:

So what?*

So what that it got a series low rating? It’s still among ABC’s top rated shows. It’s in absolutely no danger of being cancelled.

What difference does an obviously safe for renewal show’s ratings matter so much that you’d lament its scheduling? (sure, it matters to ABC’s advertising revenue, but the Mouse isn’t sending you a cut of those checks, is it?)

*unless you wanted to watch both shows and had no DVR, then you have my condolences.
