In its live plus same day DVR ratings last Friday, Fringe dropped down to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating after weeks of 1.9, 1.9 and 1.6.  Once again, it made up some ground with three days of DVR viewing, bumping up to a 2.2, again down a tenth from the previous week’s 2.3 L+3 adults 18-49 rating.

Here’s the table of the first few weeks live plus same day DVR viewing and live plus three days DVR viewing (I included the live plus seven results for the weeks available):

Date L+SD L+3 L+7
21-Jan 1.9 2.7 2.8
28-Jan 1.9 2.4 2.6
4-Feb 1.6 2.3
11-Feb 1.4 2.2

Because Fringe is on the bubble, I’m sure these numbers will be scrutinized by some, but my opinion continues to be that the Live+Same Day ratings contain all the information needed to evaluate a show’s renewal potential, and that anything past that date is largely useful only for network PR Jedi Mind Tricks.
