The New York Post reports that Terra Nova, the Steven Spielberg produced series on Fox, will air a two hour sneak peek this May.  Look for a release with more details soon.

The Post compares it to the treatment Glee got in May 2009, but I’m not sure if that comparison is accurate since with a two hour sneak peek, I’m not sure it’s going to get an American Idol lead-in. Fox could do AI at 8pm and ask the affiliates for the 10pm-11pm hour for one night.  We’ll see.  If nothing else Fox can (and will) promote the pilot sneak peek heavily on-air in May.

The two-hour episode gives viewers a first look at the series, which revolves around a family living on Earth in the year 2149. With the planet on the brink of destruction, thanks to years of aggressive scientific experimentation and an exploding population, the family agrees to go back to prehistoric times in hopes of finding a way to save the Earth by attempting to correct mistakes made in the past.
