When NBC gave Outsourced a full season order, we figured NBC would have to expand the comedy hours in their primetime schedule since they had Parks & Recreation and up to 3 more half hour sitcoms waiting for midseason. The fact that their Fall dramas are doing so dreadfully seemed to make that all the more likely (this week, Parenthood’s 2.1 rating is NBC’s best for a drama, yikes!).

Now EW reports that NBC is considering programming 3 hours of comedy on Thursdays starting in mid-season. Whether that happens or not, it seems highly likely that the sitcom hours in NBC’s line up will be increased somewhere in the spring.
