Turner Sports and Justin Timberlake “Take Back The Night” with Tip Off to the 2013-14 NBA Season on TNT
Turner Sports announced today that Grammy® and Emmy® Award-winning artist Justin Timberlake will share the spotlight with some of the NBA’s biggest stars in an all-new marketing campaign celebrating the debut of the 2013-14 NBA season on TNT. Timberlake’s “Take Back The Night” off his latest album “The 20/20 Experience – The Complete Experience” will be featured in a series of custom promotional spots produced by Turner Sports and featured across TNT, NBA TV and nba.com, triggering the excitement that the start of the NBA season brings. A thirty-second version of the spot will debut on-air tonight within Turner Sports’ exclusive coverage of Game 6 of the MLB National League Championship Series on TBS, with a long-form, 90-second version available now at nba.com. The marketing campaign will run for the next eight weeks.
The high-energy “Take Back The Night” promo features live concert footage of Timberlake spliced with game highlights from some of the biggest NBA stars including LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Blake Griffin, Tony Parker, Tayshaun Prince, Deron Williams, among others.
Turner Sports will officially tip off the 2013-14 NBA regular season with three consecutive nights of doubleheader coverage across TNT and NBA TV starting Tuesday, October 29. The opening night matchups will include the defending champion Miami Heat and LeBron James hosting the Chicago Bulls and the highly-anticipated return of Derrick Rose at 8 p.m. ET, followed by a battle of Los Angeles with the Clippers and Chris Paul meeting the L.A. Lakers and two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash at 10:30 p.m.
Throughout the 2013-14 NBA season, Turner Sports will feature a 52-game regular season schedule on TNT, and 97 regular season games on NBA TV.
