I am a proud member of what Mark Cuban refers to as "the Nerd Herd" and I am surely a member in good standing - not just because I voted for Cubes 99 times on Dancing with the Stars last week, but because 8 out of the 10 shows on the Hey Nielsen TV top 10 list I have watched -- the exceptions being Jericho and The Dresden Files -- and I have been meaning to get to them.
So what does it mean? Absolutely nothing, but it's fun.
Gorman thinks I should write about this every week, but I think he should do it instead. Do I find it fun, funny and interesting that with the exception of House, Heroes and The Office all of the shows listed the in the Hey Nielsen Top 10 are either no longer in production or not highly rated? Or that the top 10 is being overrun by Internet geeks who love science fiction/fantasy shows? Yes, I do find it fun, funny and interesting.
But interesting enough to make the exact same comments every week? Not so much.
Even though Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Heroes and The Office are indeed Seidman favorites that Gorman doesn't watch, this one's all yours, Bill -- I'm gonna go watch last night's Stargate Atlantis off the DVR, plus I have to catch up on House and Supernatural...
