Gorman's time-shifted chart measures the impact DVR viewing had on a show's total viewing as a percentage. This table merely ranks the most time-shifted shows by total number of time-shifterd viewers (within 7 days of the show's airing) and looks a bit different.
It is impressive that The Office (#1 on the Gorman chart) has so many DVR viewers! Desperate Houswives had more than 100% more live viewers than The Office, but The Office still reeled in several thousand more DVR viewers than the Houswives.
Journeyman and Bionic woman made this top 20 list during premiere week. Bionic Woman had slightly more DVR viewers than Private Practice that week, but based on the overnight ratings trends the last two weeks I'd be surprised if that holds up.
There really isn't much change in the overall Top 20 shows adding in the +7 DVR viewing. Private Practive moves from 13th live to 11th Live+7. Bionic Woman moved from #16 live to #13 in Live +7. Heroes moved from #9 to #7.
60 Minutes which was the #19 live show fell to #23 in the Live+7 rankings, with only 270K people viewing it via DVR.
I somewhat want to jump to the space of "OMG, the DVR is going to eat into DVD sales faster than I thought!" I'm not there though. Nielsen lists 286 million and change people aged 2 and over. Only CSI got close to reeling 10% of that population in. Further, of those 286 million, only 57.7m have access to a DVR wheras almost 259m have access to a DVD player (again, according to the Nielsen estimates).
The trend of time-shifting is certainly not the friend of DVD revenue for TV shows, but the opportunity is hardly completely dried up or even mostly dried up. It's getting drier though, and next year will be drier than this year, etc.
