We're just reporting on the ratings numbers and making guesses about the future numbers, not the quality of the baseball or the cities involved.

As a matter of fact, the NLCS, with two small market teams, was a ratings disaster. However, the ALCS, with Boston, which draws bigger than it's home market is doing pretty well.

Now that the ALCS is headed back to Boston, if the Sox can rally there the World Series ratings might be OK.

I'm always curious as to why two small cities in sports is a "possible" ratings disaster. It should be about the sport not the population density of the teams. There is life outside the concrete jungles. Really!!! Actually if you are in the ratings biz and make statements like this... you should work for a polling company... they are skewed too. I think the guy in NYC that walks around in his underware, boots and cowboy hat is nuts! You probably think he is cool...

What your comment tells me is how bad the taste is in large cities. I NEVER watch what is popular according to your ratings... Nobody who has a real life does. If Grey's (Gays) Anatomy is the most popular in the ad ratings... our country is doomed! It is total crap! You probably don't have a reason to know any better since you live such a wierd life under conditions that most would not wish. At least sports sort of keeps us honest. Money doesn't buy honesty or popularity and often ratings. Check out NBC... they have money but no sensibility. Lots of arrogance... People are tuning out! Ask NYC or Boston shortly in the sports world... Money buys... BS... Like what most on TV is. So when small city teams win... the best reality TV!
