comcast.gif Comcast announced that they lost 65,000 basic cable subscribers in the third quarter ended September 30, 2007.

Its revenue from video increased 6% from Q3 2006 due to "growth in digital cable customers and increased demand for digital features including ON DEMAND, DVR and HDTV, as well as higher basic cable pricing.", but not, obviously, new customer additions.

As we have been saying for some time, cable MSOs are in a race to add revenues from their existing customers, because their customer base has been flat to down for some time.
