I'm sure it's enjoyable as a Red Sox fan so I'm happy for Walt Mossberg, but as a sports fan, it's a pretty big yawner. 19 out of 22 times a team held a 3-0 lead in the , the team leading went on to sweep in four games. That wouldn't be great news for Fox, but MLB is close to catching the NFL in revenue, so I doubt MLB is feeling bad. There has been a lot of chatter about how the start times are too late and the 12 year olds on the east coast are all falling asleep in the 6th inning. But with the money MLB is making it will figure whatever it's doing is working. I'm not sure I can fault the logic.
Meanwhile, we (and Fox) haven't had a game 7 in asince 2002 and that's only because that whining idiot Dusty Baker who never takes accountability for anything pulled Russ Ortiz off the mound with a lead in the 7th inning of game 6. Five years later and I'm still traumatized. Sorry for the rant, I realize it's not so bad as the Bartman incident, oh wait - that complete collapse also happened under Dusty Baker's watch. Sorry about that Cub's fans, but I knew you of all people could feel my pain. On to the shows:
