CBS took Thanksgiving night, but based on the overnight fast affiliate results, one must question why CBS and ABC ran with new episodes. Bothand 's were well below their season averages although 's gained viewers the second half hour while lost them. As is usually the case, won viewers while 's took the 18-49 demographic.
The approach used by NBC, Fox and The CW made more sense to me -- they each aired movies (The Incredibles, Dodgeball and Raise Your Voice respectively). ABC went so far as to preview a new show -- October Road. Especially with the ongoing WGA strike, it strikes me as a bit boneheaded for CBS and ABC to have run new episodes on Thanksgiving night.
