Lest anyone forget that America is a Football Nation, NBC's Wild Card Game between the Jaguars and Steelers drew 22.45m viewers and pulled an 8.4 rating for adults 18-49 making a mockery of the evening's broadcast competition and placing NBC far above the rest.
Those not watching the gridiron were surprisingly political, pushing ABC's New Hampshire Debate ratings to second place for the night along with the network. CBS and Fox had neither pigskin nor politics and had to be content with mere survival.
