The Super Bowl may be over, but FOX still took the top 3 spots in the weekly top 20 with both airings of American Idol and the last fresh episode of House. Only the 50th Annual Grammy Awards kept FOX from taking the top 4 spots, but it got four out of five with Moment of Truth landing in fifth.
Grammys off, but not at record lows
Grammy performance was down and the overnight numbers were adjusted downward when the final numbers came out (from over 18 million down to 17.17 million) While it wasn't the least watched ever, it was close! The 50th annual airing narrowly edged out the 48th annual airing which had 17.01 million. It was also record low performance in the 18-49 demographic however, but that's a story for another post.
ABC placed 4 shows on the list, its best efforts being: , and LOST. NBC placed but two shows on the list, Deal or No Deal and a new Law & Order. CBS placed nine shows on the list, with the premiere of : Micronesia being its best effort. Notably for CBS, five of the nine shows it placed in the list were reruns -- making CBS the king of repeats. Indeed, no other network placed a single rerun in the top 20, but CBS sneaks in five.
