Cops on FoxFOX's time-tested lineup of COPS and America's Most Wanted was again (and again, and again, etc) the most watched programming on a Saturday with FOX winning both the most overall viewers and the most 18-49 year old viewers.

ABC celebrated Oscar with an airing of the movie Forrest Gump and finished next to last for the night overall but second in terms of the 18-49 demo.

CBS ran a repeat of Shark, and then two hours worth of 48 Hours Mystery.   The Eye network placed second in overall viewers, but last for the night in the 18-49 demo.

NBC reran the first episode of the new reality show My Dad is Better Than Your Dad, and hardly anybody watched.  A couple more million tuned in between 9p-11p when NBC reran its very successful made for TV movie: Knight Rider (it was the 8th most watched program on broadcast TV the prior week).  I can't believe I didn't put it on the DVR!

Personally, I don't believe the Neilsen ratings truly represent what intelligent people are watching! If it does, God help us all!

The Nielsens don't track the viewing preferences of 'intelligent people'… just people.

Just realized that the Saturday viewer n umbers for COPS is about equal to the number of people who are wearing court-ordered ankle monitors and can't leave home.
