| Total Viewers (million) | 24.40 | 8.67 | 8.28 | 5.46 | 2.49 |
| Rating/Share: Adults 18-49 | 9.4/23 | 2.6/7 | 2.3/6 | 1.8/5 | 1.1/3 |
FOX easily won the night in both total viewers and with 18-49 viewers. An hour and a half of American Idol would have been enough by itself, but it was rounded out with a series-high 12.33 million viewers for Back to You. NBC came in second, CBS in third and ABC in next to last, followed by the CW. The 18-49 rankings were the same.
The Biggest Loser and a rerun of NCIS tried hard to find viewers, and given they ran against AI, probably did a great job.
Both Big Brother and Jericho improved vs. Last Week. BB rose to 6.74 million vs. last week's 5.42, but last week AI ran all the way until 10pm, and this week at ended at 9:30pm.
Jericho improved from 5.94 million viewers to 6.9 million in the overnights. A pick up of almost a million viewers. But Jericho was bumping heads with the debut of Quarterlife instead of a rerun of Law & Order:SVU. The L&O rerun pulled in 9.3 million viewers last week, Quarterlife only found 3.86 million viewers, so one might argue Jericho should've done even better. Both Jericho and Quarterlife lost to the ABC news magazine themed Primetime: What Would You Do Now?
Lately, ABC does OK in the 10pm hour on Tuesday, it's the comedy lineup between 8p-10p that drags it down to next to last place, beating only the CW for the night. One Tree Hill's performance at 9pm was 3.17 million -- facing off against AI for half the time. The wrong networks are involved so I'll never see the experiment, but I think One Tree Hill would have done better on NBC at 10pm than Quarterlife did.

TVbytheNumbers is thrilled with the Hollywood Reporter debut of James Hibberd (formerly of TVWeek fame), where he will undoubtedly fare better than Quarterlife.
Said Hibberd on Quarterlife “The debut of NBC’s new series “quarterlife” marked the network’s worst performance in its time period in at least 17 years – including repeats and specials.”
6.9 is not bad for Jerhico,, its probably got about another Million on Tivo. I know I have it on DVR. Watching tonight. That would bring it to around 8 -8.2.. still 2 million short from seeing it again in the fall.
I so glad to see jericho's ratings up. next week will be even better. The ratings could be as high 10 million like it was before the break during Christmas 2006
No doubt the numbers next week will rise, but Bryan said earlier 6.9 is not bad for jericho? Lawl, every single number in season 1 was better than that, look at the stats. well, bye all

Bring Back ” the UNIT ” and the 11 million viewers
Big Brother has lost a sponsor Lowes and is doing horrible in the ratings –
enough senseless reality!

Last week, I checked ahead on 'Back to You' and saw that it was in 'the Gaahhden Spot' right after AI, so….
Snatched it up on both TV BigShot entries for the week. Do you think the price will be raised to the HH… or will they fudge like they do sometimes when there's one of these scheduling anomalies?
BTW… re: quarterlife.
If you compare the 18-49/share and HH numbers to the total viewer numbers for the time slot, '2-bits' (feel free to use that… I use your '2.5 Men' freely – thanks) did better than it appears percentage-wise (if that means anything).
10:00 ABC Prime: WWYDNow? 7.64 2.9/8 6
CBS Jericho 6.9 2.2/6 4
NBC Quarterlife 3.86 1.6/4 2.5
Jericho is so awesome. It would be terribly confusing if someone had not watched all the episodes. I wouldn't be surprised if they do have big numbers watching it online, I know I did to fill in the gaps. I got so hooked, I kept promising myself I wouldn't start the next episode… 5 hours later I would finally do what I needed to and then stay up all night watching more. I obviously found the show late. I am sure there are more out there like me. It is the best show I have watched in years. Since 24 is not on this year, all my 24 watching friends are getting into Jericho and we like it better! I hope the numbers continue to rise. CBS would be stupid to loose the show and the cult-like loyal following it has captured.

Hey Robert! Check this out!
“Quincy Smith, who runs CBS' new media division, says the size of the audiences on Veoh (etc) are getting close to what some shows are receiving on broadcast television. While he declined to cite specifics, he said the post-apocalyptic drama Jericho has a bigger online audience than it does on traditional TV.”
Shouldn't the poor ratings of the 9pm broadcast of 'Big Brother' on CBS give some slack to Jericho? It wasn't exactly the greatest 'springboard' show that kept people watching the same network. Jericho actually gained viewers at a poorer network time.
Is this a valid point?
Jericho is a horribly written show that deserves death. I stopped watching around episode six. I just couldn't take it any more. And I LOVE apocalyptic shows. When I first heard about it, I thought it was written specifically for me! I pushed myself to watch past episode two. By the time ep six came around, I was done. Blech.
