Truthfully I’ll probably drop off watching TV for another few years, since Jericho is all I watch anyway. I’d be surprised if CBS renewed this show and I’d wonder what in the world was going on behind the scenes to make that happen. It’s really almost too much to think about, the fact that there are two more episodes of my most favorite TV show ever, and that’s all I’m ever going to get. I wish I could get into Survivor, A.I., LOST, 24 or 2 1/2 Men, or any other high rated show, but I just can’t. I caught Jericho by chance the very first night, got hooked, and here I am today, riding this show into the ground.

I am a big fan of the show. What you’ve written is not very uplifting, but it’s a reality check to the rest of us fans. But what you find unappealing in the show is what causes the rest of us to go crazy about it. The “run-of-the-mill” interactions of the characters allow the fans to somewhat put themselves into the character’s positions. The “averageness” of the main characters is it’s selling point. Other shows have aliens, robots, and superhumans. Jericho paints a picture of ordinary people banding together to do what’s right against impossible odds. So to you, that might not be very intriguing. But to a LOT of people, it is a high point in all the other unrealistic bull that is being shown. The outlook for the future of the show on CBS isn’t bright, but we’re all hoping that it can continue somewhere else.
