Jerico is still the best show on TV! The 2nd season is even better than the first. Trying to run opposite that moronic "American Idol" it doesn't have a chance. I hope it gets picks up on another network if CBS bales on it again.

Sadly, I agree with some of the posters. Pick the farthest left choice and you see what direction the plot will take. Assume all corporations are evil --- "This isn't a country, it's a corporation" --- and you have the plot.

Really? That's just lazy writing and propaganda. The reason I used to tune into the show was that I didn't know where it was going. Taking the socialist highway with the rest of hollywood is just plain boring. Why not actually surprise us with something like J&R being the good guys in an episode? Why not make the army the good guys --- and not after they have had a deep emotion epitome about the evils of fighting. Do us a favor and have the Jericho writers go back on strike.

David - no word that I've seen yet. I think you've summarized it correctly. If we don't know before, we'll know as a result of the finale.

Has there been any word about cancellation yet? They have less than two weeks to decide which ending they are going to broadcast on the finale...surely they won't use their episode choice to tell us what their plans are for the series?

The Everything-Tied-Up finale, we know the show is cancelled and over.

The Cliffhanger finale? There is a future someplace for the show.

I hope CBS releases their plans before March 25th.

I think that all of the talk on here about people not watching Jericho any more due to political reasons is kind of silly personally.

Couldn't it have more to do with the fact that it came back late season (instead of in the fall with all the big season premieres) and that it is playing in a later time slot than last season (not to mention on a crummy night when there are already too many popular shows on)?

I initially didn't like the new direction the show was taking in the season premiere. But since then I think it has hit it's stride and has really gotten interesting. I just needed to watch a couple of the shows to get locked in. I like all the ideas on here about how to save the show. Hopefully the people "upstairs" at CBS are as clever as people on here, because I think the show could do really well on a better night and at a better time. (I really like the idea of pairing it up with Supernatural on CW. Another show that I enjoy that doesn't get the audience it deserves...)

I agree with another comment that I sit here scratching my head about the lackluster ratings Jericho receives. But I can imagine how difficult it must be to try and pick up a show towards the end for those who have never seen it or know little about it. Committing to watch all of season one is a bit much for most. Toast or not (which I hope not) it's a great show and have enjoyed this ride.

P.S. you mean there were other shows on Tuesday night?

Jericho is so dam good. I am in suspense for the full 60 minutes and I can not stand it if it goes off the air. It is the best show I have ever watched in my life! I hope some cable network picks it up and keeps it going. Jake, Hawkins, the whole crew is amazing. I love every minute of it!!

Numbers Numbers Numbers...
Why does TV have to be ruled by numbers. Don't get me wrong, I love numbers, but apparently numbers don't like my shows!!!

I guess it's my fault for choosing to watch the 2 best but least recognized shows on TV at the moment: Jericho (well of course) and Supernatural.
AnneMarie, I'm not sure I'm all in a SN/Jericho pairing... what would I be watching the rest of the week...

I guess I should be happy about this AMAZING second season of Jericho and I sure don't regret being part of the fight last year. Even if just for 7 eps it was well worth it. Best so far, there's just no time-out. Like Bill said, I'm gonna make sure to enjoy the last 2 but keep crossing every fingers I have (and the ones around me) for more next year, wherever it could land. Let Jericho Live.

Last night's Jericho was very riveting. I agree that the scene with Stanley saying goodbye to his sister, Bonnie, was very moving.
The acting is really picking up and the plotlines are breakneck to fit in a very abbrieviated season. Only two more left unless
we can help get the show on somewhere else. Enjoy these last two!

OMG!?! What the Hell?! Idol won the night!?? Never saw that in a million years. Fingers crossed that it gets renewed for another season, I mean it's doing pretty well in the demos, FOX would be mad to cancel it.

There was nothing random about Fallujah March 2004- it was a well planned ambush.

For those who says the comparison is not valid:

Jericho - Group of military contractors are ambushed by armed insurgents - result 1 dead executed contractor hung like a dead animal. (Goetz's character was evil and deserved to die, but thats beside the point).

Fallujah 2004 - Group of military contractors are ambushed by armed insurgents - result 4 dead contractors hung like dead animals.

Of course the Fallujah contractors were escorting a food convoy doing nothing wrong. But given the theme of Season 2 that Kansas = Occupied Iraq. Im quite sure thats where they got the basic idea for this episode from. For those who still love Jericho, Im sure this makes them uncomfortable but I cant help that.

I have to take some responsibility for Sponge Bob's world domination. We (me and my 3 kids) watch it 6 out of 7 days of the week. Jericho just once a week.

I don't think there is any comparison to what took place on Jericho last night and Fallujah. Jericho's residents intended on arresting Goetz and bringing before the military for two crimes: embezzlement and murder. Fallujah was a random mob incident where contractors were pulled from their vehicles and heinously murdered, without significant provocation or justification.

In fact Goetz's own employer fired him. The producers have made it clear that like any company there are good eggs and bad. If Jericho really happened, private companies (both civil and security) would have a role in reconstruction.

In this environment, there would be corruption (as there has been in Iraq), and there may even be an overstressed commander (Goetz, My Lai, Haditha). To suggest that the producers' depiction in Jericho proves an extreme liberal bias is oversimplistic. Clearly, they do not want to take a simplistic Michael Moore route since last night it was members of Ravenwood and J & R that ended up saving the town from a few rogue employees.

Ann Marie -- a GREAT conversation piece indeed. That's why I write about Jericho as much as possible.
Last week out of 20 CBS shows, Jericho was 20th. Most of those shows were reruns and Jericho was still 20th out of 20. It would seem Jericho's producers should be sending out feelers to the CW.

Robert, I have to agree with most of your statements about Jericho. I really enjoy the show, but it's not perfect. The scene with Stanley in the morgue was one of the best on the show ever. Jericho's problem isn't the pacing or American Idol or the Big Brother lead-in. It's a niche show, and it will only have a certain audience. While CBS may not want it, Jericho is definitely better than all the new shows Sci-Fi put out last year. The CW isn't a bad idea either...a Supernatural/Jericho pairing could be a fun night. As you can see from the above comments, Jericho is a great conversation piece....love it or hate it.
