Well, true dat. Doesn’t make me feel any better. Nor does the extended ominous silence while they add little features to the website. I can only hope just maybe a shift of networks is in the mix. Normally, I would not want that but this cast seem to LOVE working together (I mean, it really seems to be a love fest) so chances are better for a good move. But, to praise CBS when it sometimes seems like a backhanded bone being thrown to us, with a smidge of hope something might turn up to help out Big Brother all on its own, a very wierd little publicity tour for the show by Skeet at WEEK 5 when they have probably already made a decision….it’s just all very weird to me. But I have to admit, I do love that they made the 2 minute drills (which you would probably appreciate if you haven’t seen them Robert. Especially the last 2 or 3.)

I’m with KIC, Bill Clay is a good man and that’s a great attitude. I think that really is the story — against all odds the fans were heard and got(at least) 7 more episodes.

Even though the signs are pointing to Jericho’s cancellation again, I don’t feel as sad as I did the first time. We fans got together to protest Jericho’s original cancellation and our voices were heard! Against all odds, we got a second (small) season with some of the best episodes of the entire run. I wish CBS had given it a better time slot on a different night, but that’s all water under the bridge now. We got a second chance to enjoy this great series, which is a privilege that most fans of canceled series never get!

I appreciate your candor and passion for the game in viewing these other imposter shows. For some reason I can’t watch anything but Jericho, so I salute you for your courage in being able to change channels like that. I’m yet another one of those Jericho nuts. Sure there are other things to watch but try as I might I just can’t get into them, even for train wreck television. I’m glad people like you are out there to appreciate what’s on besides Jericho or no one would watch those shows at all.

Perhaps with 22 episodes, since characters are already established and all that, the show wouldn’t drag quite so much as season 1 did, but I still really prefer the pacing in this seven episode arch to all of last season, even when they were at their best. I think 13 episodes would make it so the writers would have to condense things, but they’d have a little more time to truly explore the plot.

But once again, this is just me hoping that we even *get* a third season. I have big, big doubts, even of them putting it on another network. I personally wouldn’t read too much into whether they used Season or Series. They may still want to leave that door open, doesn’t mean much beyond that.

I so hope I’m wrong though.

Lisa, I share the same point. Last night, as I was talking to a fellow TV viewer and friend, who prefers Moonlight and American Idol over Jericho, I pointed that out. If Jericho wasn’t coming back next season, or if they were at least leaving it up for consideration until the 11th hour; why was the term “Season Finale” used instead of “Series Finale?” If CBS really thought Jericho was over way before last night’s episode even aired, they would’ve been milking the series finale in the promo trailer following the episode to lure more viewers in hopes of a spike, but they didn’t do that, so I’d have to agree with you that because they didn’t market it as such, there might be some hope left.

Plus, it would be grossly unfair on CBS’ part to not look at the combined ratings from all outlets before making a decision. If they can’t do that, then they’re complete and utter idiots.

Finally, to Robert Seidman: Don’t get sucked into the reality whirlwind! C’mon, who gives a rat’s ass about whether D-List celebrities have rhythm or not?! I am a late bloomer to Jericho, but I’m so glad I’ve been watching because this is the only show on television that is about taking a stand and fighting for what you believe in. Are we really going to get that message via Dancing with the Stars, American Idol or some other third rate network show? No.

As for Priscilla Presley, she looks like Death sucking on a lemon! But if that’s your thing, Seidman, go ahead. I’m not so gullible. I’ll stick with Jericho.

Agree also to wanting a 13 ep season but for a difference reason. With this ensemble cast, I believe the writers could keep us engaged for 22, but don’t want no steenken hiatus! As to the network, put it where ALL viewers are respected.

In this 21st Century TV world almost all TVs have a set top box – cable or satellite – which are capable of tracking what is being watched. Count the REAL numbers; one TV = one Count because the demographics are crap that were formulated for my parents generation in the 1950s. They have NO relation to today’s marketplace and spending habits. Add to the REAL numbers the time shifted viewing, downloads and online watching and let’s see what the numbers are.

Where does Jericho rank as a downloaded show, and is it CBS’ most downloaded show? Also, how the ad buyers are viewing the future of this counting method. Seems to me this this norm of Nielsen will only get more inaccurate as time goes on.

I want Jericho to get a thirteen episode run. Doesn’t matter what network to me. They could be on the food network for all I care. I think 22 episodes may be a bit too much for the writers who tend to drag it seems when they have lots of wiggle room. 13 episodes would be equivelent to shows like The Shield, Rome, Dexter ect. Would it really be an opporunity lost? CBS hasent had good numbers at 10pm on Tuesday in a long time.

Granted 10pm is a disaster time for the show.

I believe Jericho has held it’s own very well. Yes the viewers on the tv is a little less then i thought it would be BUT… People are addicted and used to L&O ect.

I say renew for season 3 maybe 14-16 episodes.(I love 22 but these great people can do it with a little less)
