Jericho is one of the greatest shows on since it started. It could be so REAL, that's scarey! Please try to keep the series on, if not on CBS, on any other channel. I see that the ratings and interest are high.

I am thankful for shows like Heroes, Lost and Supernatural. I think we're lucky to have them. I'm glad at least two out of the three pull in enough numbers not to constantly be on the bubble giving me a stomache ache waiting to hear if they've been renewed or not.

Its funny because I can remember a time in my life when there was something on prime time every week night that I wanted to watch (except maybe friday). The other day I was flipping through channels and I couldn't find a single show on network television that wasn't a reality show.

I keep waiting for a reality TV backlash that just hasn't happened yet because people just keep tuning into the junk. How does Deal or No Deal get 10 million viewers? I mean, I'm not bashing the show, but there isn't a whole lot to it, shouldn't it be on in the morning where 'The Price is Right' is? Only The Price is Right is on primetime now too. I don't get it.

Alright, well I'm going to hop off this site before I get spoiled for last night's Jericho. Had to go to bed early because the boyfriend had a big SCE Series test to take today so I couldn't stay up to watch the finale :( Stupid CBS and their late time slot. No worries kids, I don't have a nielsen box anyway, I'll stream the show once I'm off work.

I quit watching CBS in 2000-when they cancelled Now and Again-and didn't turn it on until they had the good sense to put Jericho on. Too bad that good sense was so short-lived.

Now I can cross CBS off my viewing list permanently. But that's okay. Unless the Sci Fi channel picks it up, I'm down to about five hours of television a week now. And that's only when the programs are aired. Usually the things I watch aren't even re-run so now I'm pretty much free until the fall season starts.

I'd rather read a book, or watch dust accumulate on my coffee table, than to watch most of the garbage that's out there.

I stayed up until 11:00 every Tuesday watching this. I even had to watch the commercials because it is an excellent show with a great cast. It was the only show that I did not TIVO and fast forward through the commercials. If somehow they keep it on then I promise to watch the commercials even if I have to go to the website to prove it. Its so good its the fastest hour on television. (even with the commercials)

ps: The only good thing about reality shows is that is makes great time to do something besides watch TV.

Perhaps enough viewers could ban together to make their own network. I'm for bringing back the 4400 also.

I agree about things being more about what makes the most money and not about what's actually good tv. It's very disappointing to turn on the tv and see for the most part what amounts to a bunch of crap. I find myself watching less and less tv as time goes on. I also think that networks do try to cater to what people want and if the majority of people want shows like Jerry Springer, daytime soaps and never-ending reality tv shows, what does that say about people in general... (Present company excluded. LOL)
I'll be really sad to see Jericho go!!

I have make this quick for ...yes you guess it
WORK! Which in turn, made me the money to buy my dvr. In turn I use to record Jericho one of the best shows that out there now. But now with doom looming in the horizon? I guess I'll set the timer back NBC Law and Order.
Sorry CBS you had one loyal fan!!
Now when I see CBS I think now that it stands for: Canceling-Best-Shows!

Power of the little people!!
JERICHO RULES!!

Danielle -- I think some of that has to do with people generally being uh...thrifty. If 40million out of 65 million cable homes don't have a digital set-top box, they are also not likely to have any HBO or Showtime either.

If HBO and Showtime tripled the amount of subscribers I think we'd have a problem with more good TV than there is time in the day to watch it!

"You get what you pay for" didn't get to be a cliche' for no reason at all. I worry that the days where we even get a Lost, Heroes, Jericho (or Supernatural!) on Broadcast TV are numbered. Fortunately a lot of things are cyclical and perhaps great ratings for unscripted shows will be one of them. But until the unscripted, much cheaper to produce shows don't draw great ratings, I'm not all that optimistic.

But as long as I have HBO/Showtime plus Lost, House and Supernatural, I won't complain :D

"May I suggest that CBS just run commercials 24-hours-a-day? That would be cheaper still."

LOL. What's scary about a statement like this is I am really waiting for the time to come for hour long dramas to be thirty minutes long with thirty minutes of commericals. Running a network isn't about creating quality television entertainment, its about getting the most amount of eyes on your station. Whether that be through gimmicks like Britney Spears on HIMYM or life destroying reality tv shows like Moment of Truth. The bottom line is money and television for entertainment is just a side effect.

Of course without commericals, advertisers wouldn't be willing to drop the big bucks on shows like Jericho or Lost or Heroes and then these shows would cease to exist.

Jericho is the only show on CBS I watch. you are losing a show of the caliber of Lost, Heroes. They don't have enough of those to cancel one of their saving graces. Need to rethink and retool how they advertise the show!!!!

Jericho is the best drama series on TV, and certainly a much better investment of time than Big Brother. BB gets even lower ratings than Jericho but it gets renewed while the 'cho gets the axe. Since Jericho admittedly costs more than BB to produce, CBS is clearly interested in advertising revenue and not in producing quality television. May I suggest that CBS just run commercials 24-hours-a-day? That would be cheaper still.

I hope that Carol Barbee finds a new, more deserving home for this incredible story. Wherever you go, Jericho, I will be watching.

CBS, you had your chance. Enjoy your standing: first in line at the death of network television.

LOL Sam and Dean might be able to pull that off. I was amazed when Supernatural was renewed for season four without any drama. Now all the fans don't know what do to with their 'Save Supernatural' petitions!

And Dexter is just pure awesomeness. I've heard its doing good on Showtime, but I wasn't sure about actual numbers or anything like that.

There will definitely be more Dexter (at least on Showtime) and more Supernatural -- at least if the CW doesn't have a massive overhaul. Currently CW wants to target 18-34 year old woman. I have faith Sam & Dean can pull a few of those in.

I think it was mentioned that they don't do them except in sweeps time when more data is needed but the paper journals never make or break anything or something like that. I don't know, but I did them for a week and it was really hard to keep track of everything you watched.

I actually got a call last week from Neilsen to do paper journals again but when I told them I wasn't Latino, they said no thanks LOL. Oh well.

And yeah Luckey, the comment made me smile. I'm so sick of the shows I love getting canned but what can you do? Firefly, The Black Donnelly's, Rome, Wonderfalls, Veronica Mars now Jericho (Please, PLEASE no one cancel Supernatural or Dexter). I've had to say goodbye to so many, I guess its time for another bittersweet ending.
