FOX easily took Wednesday night in all ways. Its nearest competition averaged more than ten million fewer viewers. While NBC and CBS were in a close battle for distant second in terms of total viewers, last place ABC (next to last, if you count the CW) came in second in the 18-49 demo.
Indeed, aside from FOX, only ABC could hit (but not surpass) the 18-49 "Mendoza Line" of a 2.0 rating in the demo. And I'm impressed with Supernanny's results since it was a repeat. I'm less impressed with Wife Swap since it was an original and didn't have to go up against American Idol and it's 25+ million viewers and 9.7/25 performance in the 18-49 demo.
Moment of Truth, while not the juggernaut AI is, had the second best 18-49 ratings to AI with a 3.9/11 in the demo and almost ten million viewers overall. While I can't bring myself to watch it (and I'm not sad about this), the 18-49 numbers are very impressive.
The only CBS show to have a 2.0 or better was Big Brother at 8pm with a 2.1/6. Of course the final two hours of the night were repeats (of Criminal Minds and CSI: NY). Things will change some when original episodes soon return.
NBC ran it's all Law & Order, all the time lineup of two repeats of Law & Order: CI. An original Law & Order won the 10pm hour but the numbers hardly looked good. I didn't see or DVR the episode, can someone confirm if that was actually an original? If it was, the peacocks might be a bit concerned. Update: It was a repeat, and those are really good numbers for a repeat at 10pm these days. Stick your feathers out, peacocks!
Tyra Banks again couldn't pull in 4 million Live+SD viewers with America's Next Top Model. Perhaps she'd do better on MTV.

Laine, I heard from several that it was indeed a repeat. Thanks for posting.

Not only that, but it was a repeat of a RECENT episode. It first aired in late January or early February. I guess NBC already gave up the rights to all of last season’s episodes to cable. Don’t they usually hold on to a couple of episodes from previous seasons a little longer for repeat purposes? Oh well, maybe they figured Fred Thompson would still be in the presidential race, and therefore they wouldn’t be able to use those episodes anyway. Also, fans thought those episodes sucked.
