The notion that her ego here is any smaller than a network executive’s though is complete folly.

My opinion is she uses the fans to suit her purposes because it’s the only card she has to play. A part of me finds this completely reprehensible, but on the other hand it is the only hope she has of actually saving the show — which is what the fans want. It’s a bit of catch-22.

if Barbee and Turtletaub each took 50% paycuts, perhaps Ulrich and James wouldn’t have to. That’s also in the realm of: not bloody likely.

There is nothing you’re going to show/tell SciFi that they don’t already know. They have all the numbers on Jericho they need.

My guess is that if there is a deal that is possible, and it is being held up by anything, it’s being held up by the monetary demands by the producers of Jericho [or the relevant cast via the producers].

You should be haranging the producers with cries of “accept less money, we want Jericho!”

I’d propose that has a far better chance of success.

Instead they just went to adding an *extra* point to any game that initially ends in a tie. Instead of awarding a total of 2 points, those games award a total of 3 points [2 to the winner one to the loser].
