Fox Still Wins, But Margins Tighten, CBS To Win Next Week?
As more and more new episodes of scripted shows enter the schedule for its competition, Fox still won all viewership categories for the week of March 24-30, the 27th week of the broadcast season, but the margin of victory continues to shrink. From now to the end of the season, we're likely to see a real race for the ratings titles in many of the demographic categories on a weekly basis.
Next week's results will include CBS shows Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI:NY, Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, and Without a Trace. They will certainly give CBS the weekly viewership win and perhaps the adults 25-54 win as well. ABC's only significant new show in next weeks results will be Samantha Who?. Don't expect them to move up. Same with NBC, which adds only new episodes of My Name is Earl to the lineup. Fox's only new espisodes will be from Hell's Kitchen. I'd expect it to do reasonably well, but Fox has no other new competition for the incoming CBS wave.
