I'd bet against Beauty and the Geek returning.

It will be interesting to see what show CBS sticks in that 10pm slot in the fall.

Shark is definitely benefitting from the move to 9pm thought it appears to mainly attract old viewers. 10 million should be enough to keep it alive for another season. Not a show I watch much but its better than all those socalled reality shows out there; only Hells Kitchen is somewhat watchable – really does great in the key demo – only if men cry and theres lots of yelling and plates flying across the room.

As for HK, I’d seen all three summer seasons so I am not surprised it’s doing well among the 18-49 year olds, but it’s doing ~25% better than I expected. I figured it would do high 3s in the demo and it looks on track to average in the high 4s. I was originially joking when I wrote is Gordon Ramsay a bigger deal than Oprah? but, it’s looking like at least in terms of making cash during primetime — he is!

Also… Shark was pretty good… that’s what I watched (and then forgot WMC was on a new night and missed it). I wonder how many viewers these networks are losing because of time-slot switches… I also forgot House on Monday.

enough already with law and order and csi reruns filling space. wouldn’t tv be a wonderful place if csi and law and order… al 32 of them… just disappeared off the tv landscape and forced their respective networks to do something new. i’m not a fan of most of abc’s shows but at least they seem to have lots of scripted, fun shows that are different. Law shows, medical shows, serious soaps, funny soaps, single camera comedies (trying at least).

CW will hopefully renew reaper. They have to fill hours somehow and I suspect its cheaper to renew a show than to develop a whole bunch of new ones. Plus reaper is good and its audience should build.
