I know that I'm just one viewer, but I didn't get to see NCIS because I live in Indiana and they were going over all the election results. :(

Guess Who, you won't have long to wait, CBS will announce its Fall 2008 schedule within the next week.

I'd bet against Beauty and the Geek returning.

Reruns of CSI Miami get 7.6 million while fresh episodes of Jericho usually got 6 million? Another nail in the coffin of Jericho. Jericho Season 1 was great but Season 2 just fell flat in the end - I can understand why millions of Season 1 fans abandoned ship.

It will be interesting to see what show CBS sticks in that 10pm slot in the fall.

Shark is definitely benefitting from the move to 9pm thought it appears to mainly attract old viewers. 10 million should be enough to keep it alive for another season. Not a show I watch much but its better than all those socalled reality shows out there; only Hells Kitchen is somewhat watchable - really does great in the key demo - only if men cry and theres lots of yelling and plates flying across the room.

And why is Beauty and the Geek still on? Whoa is CW. That network should shut down and start from scratch.

Jim, you are correct. The Tuesday Idol has averaged 28.2 million viewers through April 27 of this year.

http://tvbythenumbers.com/2008/05/01/season-to-...

Jim, it's not you. American Idol is falling. 9% over last WEEK, and ~17% versus last at this time. Unless 21 million is the new 30 million, they'll need to regain ~9 million viewers to hit 30 million in the finale. They generally do regain a lot of viewers for the final episode, but 9 million looks like a stretch at this point. We'll see in 2 weeks.

Is it just me or is this one of American Idol's lowest rated episodes in years? I keep seeing numbers of 28 to 31 million related to the Tuesday episodes, yet this week had only 21 million?

Disqus has some kinks to work out as far as the regstration and avatar process, but they're good people, i'm sure they'll sort it out. Thanks for taking the time to register, Jon.

As for HK, I'd seen all three summer seasons so I am not surprised it's doing well among the 18-49 year olds, but it's doing ~25% better than I expected. I figured it would do high 3s in the demo and it looks on track to average in the high 4s. I was originially joking when I wrote is Gordon Ramsay a bigger deal than Oprah? but, it's looking like at least in terms of making cash during primetime -- he is!

Am I crazy or is Hell'sKitchen (not a watcher) the runaway surprise hit of the season. the 5.2 is startling.

re: Aqui y Ahora - another fragmenting of network TV..

Also... Shark was pretty good... that's what I watched (and then forgot WMC was on a new night and missed it). I wonder how many viewers these networks are losing because of time-slot switches... I also forgot House on Monday.

Of course a csi rerun is going to draw 7.5 million viewers, it draws millions in reruns on cable. Also it is funny that Shark was dog meat at the 10pm slot, but moves up an hour to the slot people wanted Jericho in and finds several million more viewers.

Daniel, if you're asking me, I think the CW's bubble *already* burst and is just continuing on as if it didn't. Sometimes denial can be your friend though.

WMC improved by half a million viewers over last week... but Dancing improved 1.5 million. with the run over into the timeslot WMC will see a bigger drop in the nationals than last week which was a drop of half a million viewers and .2 in the demo.

enough already with law and order and csi reruns filling space. wouldn't tv be a wonderful place if csi and law and order... al 32 of them... just disappeared off the tv landscape and forced their respective networks to do something new. i'm not a fan of most of abc's shows but at least they seem to have lots of scripted, fun shows that are different. Law shows, medical shows, serious soaps, funny soaps, single camera comedies (trying at least).

at least cbs and nbc have their sitcom nights otherwise they've gotten pretty lazy at programming a sked. procedurals on cbs and deal and law on nbc. no wonder people have stopped watching.

While everybody else is airing new episodes in the month of may sweeps. NBC can only program one hour of new television. A clip show is not new television. I guess there is only so many nights NBC can fill with Deal or no Deal

CW will hopefully renew reaper. They have to fill hours somehow and I suspect its cheaper to renew a show than to develop a whole bunch of new ones. Plus reaper is good and its audience should build.
