Wait a minute, The Big Bang Theory did worse in the RATINGS and got picked up???

Thought Moonlight was doing bad…….does this make sense to anybody, anybody at all???????

  2. The Big Bang Theory did much better in the 18-49 demo. even with fewer viewers it had a 2.8 vs. Moonlight’s 1.9, or almost 50% better.

That just proves that the 18-49 demo has no taste in shows. I would venture to guess that it is the younger crowd that represents the bulk of that group. They don’t have the bucks to buy what the sponsors peddle so it surprised me that the networks and sponsors pander to them.

The rest of the viewers don’t seem to count even though the older crowd hold the purse strings and can buy the merchandise the advertisers peddle. Since the baby boom crowd is such a large group now, perhaps the networks and sponsors should revisit their research and start considering what the older crowd might like to watch. Perhaps a better cut would be 30 – 60 demo. It might help to improve on the crap that is shown on TV and give them a better chance against the cable networks (which is the haven of sanity for many of us older folks!).

18 – 49 ………………. in other words – leave out all the boomers, who have their kids raised and gone, bills under control, and have the most wealth, and therefore disposable income. Altho, I would imagine that it also excludes the grandkids of the boomers – that we love to lavish with presents……..

People that can afford high ticket items, and not have to choose between diapers, and gourmet potato chips …………………… yea – theres a market thqat should be ignored … what a joke.
