		<description>Steve Jurvetson just isn&#039;t a crazed crank is all.  He meant Florida in the stereotypical &quot;older&quot;, &quot;we go there to retire&quot; way and was using it as metaphor not being literal. And he&#039;s absolutely right to do so.</description>

		<description>This has little effect on an advertiser based company.  No matter how old a population gets, older consumers are seen as less willing to be affected by advertising.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;On the other hand, channels with subscription revenue could target this segment.</description>

		<description>There is going to be a Miami led by a sizable Cuban community made up of first and second generation Cuban refugees who are virulently anti-Castro? There is going to be a large under-class of Haitans? The Hispanic population will not be predominately Mexican but South American?  Demographics may be destiny but if the person making demographic extrapolations can&#039;t tell the difference from the various Hispanic and Black communities in a state then I don&#039;t think they will have a very good grasp on emerging demographic trends.</description>
