We're not being slackers. We didn't throw our arms up in the air and say "Live Plus 7 DVR data? Bah! SpongeBob? Who Cares!?"
We're really not slackers like that -- although Bill is taking like a month off from late July to late August -- we just haven't see the data yet.
Bill suggests that our bean counting friends at Nielsen are merely wiped out from the end of the season like accountants are after April 15 and I very much agree that's the case. We'll keep our eye out for the data and get it up on the site as soon as we can.
In the meantime, enter our Law & Order: CI contest and win a 3 season DVD set and a t-shirt!
Update: they were having some production problems with the web site we use to access the data and the foul is on me for not contacting them to ask for data. We will hopefully receive it shortly.
Uh, dude, Media Life .com and USA Today have both posted cable ratings. Where's YOUR data?
Salamar: apparently Media Life and USA Today have access to the data in a different fashion than we do (we get it via a Nielsen Web site dubbed the “press room”.)
Maybe those publications are more special than we are because they also have dead trees versions of the publications. To paraphrase Radiohead “I wish we were special”. Though I don't wish we had a dead trees version : )
In any case, I didn't contact Nielsen yesterday and took the wait and see approach. I've contacted them and hopefully we'll have data soon.
