I bet CBS is saying good riddance to Moonlight’s crazy fanbase,
Besides, had CBS aired a rerun of Moonlight last night (and why should they, the way you guys have been behaving lately, harassing their employees and bashing their execs?), it would have posted much lower numbers, that’s for sure.
Oh, and one more thing. Moonlight doesn’t have 8 million fans. It barely had 8 million viewers, most them are CASUAL viewers, not defined “fans”.

  7. Third week in a row CBS has lost the 8 pm slot. Wonder how Moonlight would have done since it’s re-runs in February had similar ratings to GW while facing House.

Thank God they aren’t showing Moonlight repeats. The ratings would’ve been even worse.

Why should we watch any network that shows such contempt for its viewers? Guess the EYE didn’t realize how many Moonlight fans were propping up their other shows. Yeah, they’re missing us now that we’re gone.

    MISS US NOW?

    - one of the 8 million loyal moonlight fans.

Moonlight fans have NOT bashed TV execs or employees, you need to get your facts STRAIGHT. Moonlight fans donated blood, registered for bone marrow transplant registry and delivered over 3000 pounds of food to the food bank.

    What have YOU done?

  17. Michelle

Cyrene, you can’t be serious. Everyone read Moonlight crazed fans comments about Nina Tessler. Everyone saw so many hateful comments against CBS and against every single CBS show, including those that haven’t even aired yet – posted everywhere. From this site to youtube. Everyone saw you flooding message boards all over, from scifi, CW to CBS. Everyone saw your pathetic calls for “boycott”. The fact that you and your little friends are posting here “CBS, do you miss us”, is just another symptom to the problem.
You may have done a few positive things, but they have drowned in the sea of hatred and intolerance that you seem to promote. Think about how that type of behavior by Moonlight fans reflect on you or your beloved show. As I said, you’re alienating others, not just other TV fans, but TV execs and people within the biz. Trust me, I’ve been part of the latter for a few years now and you guys give rabid fandoms a bad name.

  20. Maybe the saying good riddance to Moonlight’s crazy fanbase is the one of the reason CBS is losing viewers. I know that if I were a company I wouldn’t want to lose a group of customers that generated a lot of publicity for my product and is willing to buy related products. And getting to be associated with people that organize blood drives, bone marrow donor registries, food drives, etc also seems like something I as a company would want. Especially since there seems to be a lot of them. Moonlight is currently the 7th most downloaded TV drama on Amazon’s Unbox and has 5 out of the top 6 purchased episodes for Sci-Fi/Fantasy on iTunes. No other CBS show is in the top 10 of any genre for iTunes. So geez, why would any company want to keep that kind of fanbase around?

There is no guarantee that Moonlight would have done better. But Ghost Whisperer’s numbers are comparable to what Moonlight repeats did in February. And that was against tougher competition than Dateline, repeats of clip shows, and “White Chicks”.
