On a night when everyone was out watching fireworks, it was all fizzle for broadcast prime-time ratings. CBS won the viewership crown with an anemic 4.71 million. CW's reliable, but soon to depart, Friday Night Smackdown! lifted it to the demo win for the night with a 1.1 rating / 5 share, which is well down from its typical 1.5ish demo rating. Even pro wrestling fans were out at the fireworks.

Again, we have only half hourly data, and last night's results really aren't long term indicators of anything. Enjoy them between the pool and cookouts today.
