Rating/Share: Adults 18-49 1.3/4 2.0/6 1.8/6 1.6/5 0.5/2

On a sleepy summer Sunday, CBS took the viewer win with 7.04 million [over NBC with 6.58 million], but as usual performed poorly in the adults 18-49 demo, finishing fourth. NBC won the demo with a 2.0 rating / 6 share [over ABC with a 1.8/6] with the line up of Summer Olympic Trials and Dateline [surely a good $/demo investment]. Fox had fewer than half of CBS's viewers, but outdrew it in the demo [1.6/5] with a rerun line up. That it happens in the summer is not Les Moonves' concern. That it continues in the Fall is his nightmare.

People don't know what they are missing when they don't watch the best swimmers compete. I also am shocked that more people didn't see the Wimbledon finals. One must wonder about Americans…
