Well I’m sure CNN *wishes* those numbers were wrong — they had a horrible morning/primetime!

What is going on with American Morning this week? They’ve had horrible numbers! Any chance those numbers might be in error? I know AM never comes close to Fox and Friends, but all of a sudden the bottom seems to have fallen out for AM’s ratings. Morning Joe is getting the ratings that AM usually gets.

Yeah I noticed the same thing…it’s kinda weird. But then I look at the total day demo for CNN (116k), and the AM numbers seem to jive again. Poor mornings tend to = poor dayside ratings. Too bad though…..maybe the viewers miss Kyra?

  4. As yesterday’s cable news posting demonstrated, mistakes are indeed possible. My guess is that our source is being extra careful with the numbers now and the likelihood of error is greatly reduced.

I consider myself to be a moderate. That being said, I find it nearly impossible to watch CNN anymore as most of their programming surrounds the progressive agenda. They continue to shove their theories about what causes global warming, how great Obama is and how inadequate McCain is, and why oil prices are where they are, and why we shouldn't be drilling, down our throats. They try to come across as objective, but the people they have on who disagree with their agenda are generally weak, or lack credibility.

If I think this, maybe many others do, and that's why they aren't watching. In fact, some of those that I communicate with have expressed the same. Just a thought.

Now, I will watch Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck at times, not because I agree with them all of the time, but to get another view.

  9. THE_A thanks for the link. TVNewser gets the 5pm data but we do not. We get morning cable data, while they do not (or at least don't publish it). Lots of places to find the numbers!

  10. THE_Anonymous

Well that's why I visit both places, especially here for the CNBC #s! :D

Bill – I've read in a couple of articles recently that FOX is struggling in the 5 PM slot and that is why they keep changing their line up. Do you get those numbers? Just curious to know what they look like.

Hey Polly, you can go to tvnewser.com to see the 5pm numbers — you'll see that they are in fact struggling to maintain #1 (and even #2 sometimes) in the demo.
