The debut of Greatest American Dog helped CBS take the viewership win for Thursday night with 8.22 million. For summer demo-starved CBS, that adults 18-49 2.1 rating / 8 share from Dog is a bonanza. My guess is that it also boosted the CSI rerun's usually dismal demo performance. I'm sure all fingers are crossed at CBS to see how Dog holds up next week.

Dogs aside, Fox won the night in the adults 18-49 demo, where the money gets made, with a 2.5/8 on the strength of So You Think You Can Dance and Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?.

NBC is likely pleased with the 2.1/6 in the demo garnered by Last Comic Standing from 9-11. For them, that's a solid summer performance.

At 10pm, Berman tosses Hopkins "accolades", but a 1.6/5 in the demo isn't going to have it back for a second run. No accolades for Swingtown, but at a 1.8/5 in the demo and declining, it's likely sitting next to Hopkins on the bus to Cancelville.
