Olbermann is a real antidote to the far right poison thats dished out to the country every day thru our radio and TV. If things continue the way they are Fox’ ratings are going to be lower Than MSNBC in less than 2 years . This tide of America waking up seems to be irreversible. Joe, my understanding is that the national prime-time ratings include data from each time zone during their prime-time.

For a live event like the All Star Game, it's overall final show data gets calculated irrespective of when the show aired, but I have not seen those numbers yet. My guess is that a Fox press release will have it Thursday or Friday.

I'm wondering how the Prime Time Ratings work with a live sporting event like the All Star Game when most of the game (well in most cases) its not broadcasted in Prime Time to the West Coast

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the extra innings portion of the game averaged an 8.9/21 (household rating/share) and that just the extra inning performance outperformed last year's full 9 inning game:

Per Variety: According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen that are adjusted for time-zone differences, baseball's "All-Star Game" averaged roughly a 4.5 rating/13 share in adults 18-49 and 14.5 million viewers overall from 8:42 to 11:42 p.m. (The 15-inning game actually lasted much longer, until about 1:40 a.m. ET, but Fox is breaking out the regulation nine innings of the contest as its program average.)

I saw some gender info for last week. Including Univision in w/the “Big 5″, NCIS was last to everything except the CW among male and female 18-49 year olds though it did better among women in the demo last week (1.8/5) than men (1.3/4).

Growing up in a American League household and then moving on to the KC Royals when they were a powerhouse, I always rooted for the AL too, but last night I was pulling for the NL. Looks like there were a lot of viewers last night. Shows that if the networks give people something to watch, and a variety too, people will actually show up.

Does NCIS skew older female? I'm in that demo. I mostly watched the pre-game show. I enjoyed seeing the World Series stars of my childhood and beyond. But I did switch rooms to check in on NCIS for a bit. It amazes me how well it does, outside the demos, no matter what is opposite it.
