All of my media purchases (physical or iTunes) are already outside of what I DVR but I still wind up buying (what seems to me to be) a lot. Typically it's when I want to go back and see prior seasons of shows like every season of The Wire, Seasons 1-3 of Lost, Season one of Burn Notice, Seasons 1-3 of House.
