|Total Viewers (million)||9.51||7.70||6.68||4.37||3.67||1.22|

Mixed leadership with NBC taking the night in total viewers with ABC winning the 18-49 demo. ABC was second in total viewers for the night, with NBC second in the demo. Among 18-49 year olds FOX, CBS and UNI all tied, and all of course well ahead of the CW.
ABC's Wipeout won the 8pm hour in both viewers and the 18-49 demo. America's Got Talent took the 9pm hour, and had the most overall and 18-49 viewing of the entire evening.
Though I Survived a Japanese Game Show is no Wipeout, with slightly fewer total viewers than Big Brother it wound up with a little bit better 18-49 rating than Big Brother did. Both shows had less viewers than the season finale of Celebrity Family Feud, but Feud had the lowest 18-49 ratings of the three.
At 10pm, ABC's Primetime beat out a rerun of Law & Order: SVU. I was happy to see it.
Carnegie Mellon University professor Randy Pausch passed away last Friday. His lecture, celebrating his life and titled How To Achieve Your Childhood Dreams has already been viewed millions of times (at least 5 million) on the Internet, but was aired on ABC's Primetime last night, with an average of 7.6 million tuned in.
I've seen the lecture via You Tube and it's truly a wonderful thing to behold. I'm not sure how it was edited for ABC, but since the actual lecture ran an hour and sixteen minutes or so, it was definitely edited. I recommend watching the whole thing if you have the chance. It's well worth the time. You can see it here.
Update: it turns out that the Primetime airing was not of the lecture itself, but rather a special hosted by Diane Sawyer on Dr. Pausch's life that originally aired last spring, updated with some new interviews. You can view the webcast version via the Web here (it doesn't work if i link directly to the video, but look under "Primetime Webcasts" and then select "Remembering Randy Pausch").
