CW stand for Complete Waste. They should just fold up their tent and cut the stations loose as independents. Its a network in name only.

Is this the CW's worst Wednesday night ever? Seriously, they should be ashamed to call themselves a broadcast network.

Latin Lover, yep -- Uni did win the 8pm hour (both in the 18-49 and 18-34 demos) and was tied for second for the night in the 18-49 demo and second outright in the 18-34 demo. Unfortunately I didn't receive that data in time to include it.

Robert, I was able to see Univision ratings on media life magazine. it seems like they won the 18-49 at 8pm... Love seeing them in the mix ;). Also emphasizes how poor the English language networks are doing this summer!
http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publis...

TVaholic, Dog did slightly worse on Wednesdays, but i agree, BB should pull better numbers than Dog on Thursdays. The_Anonymous: haha. I'm pretty sure not even the Olympics will pull in that kind of share of 18-49 year olds (fixed, thanks).

Moraliste - thanks for the kind words.

I just want to say, thank you for this site. I watch less tv every year, but have become fascinated by the industry. I'm the kind of culture nerd who only buys the issue of USA Today which has the Nielsens. But this site digs beneath the surface better than any, without the hype and PR. I think you have a lot of integrity to do what you do, and believe me, you are doing a public service. If its true that the average household has a tv on at least eight gours a day, that is a huge cultural influence any way you slice it. TV can be a wondeful thing for introverts, shutins, depressed people, something for families to do together to ease domestic stress, you name itg. Some TV shows - for me, the Sopranos, for example, rank up there with the best movies ever made. TV is often crap, but can we imagine life without it?

the switching of Greatest American Dog & Big Brother 10 should be a plus for CBS. DOG did similar numbers as BB, yet BB should see better numbers than DOG has posted on thursdays, in recent weeks.
