Words rarely spoken around these parts: NBC won the most overall viewers and also took the 18-49 demo. Hopefully for the peacocks we'll hear that more once the Olympics start, but last night it was. -- the first preseason NFL matchup featuring the Washington Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Hail to the Redskins! They are now undefeated, and I get to say that even less often than saying NBC scores a nightly victory.
As for the rest of the night, there's not much to say...
- High School Musical: Get in the Picture continues to fail completely for ABC
- FOX had a sub-par night with its animation reruns, but even still a repeat of at 9pm was the highest 18-49 demo for the night (though no doubt, a few half hours of the NFL game outperformed it. Update: now some doubt, just saw the half-hourly data and the best half hour in the demo for the NFL game was a 2.5/7, so it tied for best demo half hour (even in the 9pm-9:30pm slot head-to-head). Also, had the best 18-34 rating of the night with a 2.8/9, the NFL game was in second, its best half hour in the 18-34 year old demo was a 2.3/8.
- CBS had the most watched program of the night with and 8 million viewers
- CW can't wait until it's no long responsible for programming Sunday nights next month.
