I thought it was pretty clear about the Fireworks being CGI on Friday, I don't actually care if things are produced to look great on TV when I am watching on TV, but that's just me. There are other issues as well apparently and whether real or imagined, I don't think it tarnishes in the slightest the athletes performance. None of this is taking away from last night's dramatic relay race for me, but perhaps it is for others.
Writes our friend, the Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd:
Organizers are accused of using fake CGI fireworks during Friday night's opening ceremony, while NBC is said to have added a bogus "live" stamp to tape-delayed West Coast feed of competition coverage this weekend, and edited the "parade of nations" segment of the opening ceremony to delay the entrance of the U.S. Olympic Team.
Read the rest of Hibberd's post for all the allegations and the responses to them from NBC and his analysis of those responses. I thought Hibberd provided fair and balanced analysis.
