That’s a shame about “Psych.” It was a really good episode. (Not that they’ve ever had a bad one!) Nice to see “American Teenager” doing well. It has its flaws, but it also has a lot going for it. It’s nice to see teenagers looking and acting like teenagers instead of supermodels for a change.

I’ll add this in the text, but Psych apparently did 3.4 million according to USA Today.

They either get much more data than we do (very, very, very likely) or they get a list of anything that doesn’t include programming for kids. Either way, USA Today’s list is sans SpongeBob, Disney, and cartoons in reruns on Adult Swim, and then sort by viewers.

ABC Family is doing great with American Teenager. 4 million+ means a heck of teenagers who are definitely flocking to this network in droves. I originally thought their new female-centric strategy wasn’t going to work out, but I was wrong. This show is just massive.

And while I haven’t seen House of Payne (and don’t plan to as it looks like Family Matters mixed in with an episode of Girlfriends), it’s definitely doing very well. 3.7 million viewers for a comedy on basic cable? That is shocking and equally impressive. I’m very interested to see the Everybody Hates Chris #s for the 2007-8 season (do you have them, Robert?) to compare it with House of Payne because it’s obvious this show is doing much, much better and on cable too!

Great for The Closer & Saving Grace, even though I didn’t like either episode this week. And Spongebob retains its dominance!

Regarding Army Wives, it seems there *was* a new episode on this past Sunday, despite the fact that the television listings (at least the ones I checked) said Lifetime would show two repeats back-to-back. Annoying. I wonder if confusion over whether or not there would be a new episode impacted the number of viewers or if it was all the Olympics.
