"World News with Charles Gibson" is  #1 for the Week Among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 & Households

Marks ABC's Best Total Viewership & Demo Deliveries Since March

Largest Total Viewing Advantage Over NBC Since August '07

ABC's "World News with Charles Gibson" was the most-watched evening newscast among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Households last week. The broadcast was up 16% among Total Viewers and 17% among Adults 25-54 compared to the previous week.
The broadcast delivered its largest total viewing advantage over "NBC Nightly News" (+520,000) since the week of August 13, 2007 and its largest Adult 25-54 advantage over NBC (+150,000) since the week of April 7, 2008.  "World News'" total viewing lead (2,670,000) over "CBS Evening News" was the largest since the week of January 21, 2008, and its Adult 25-54 lead over "Evening News"(780,000) was the largest since the week of May 19, 2008 

On Thursday and Friday, "World News" featured Charles Gibson's interviews with Gov. Sarah Palin. ABC won both nights handily with 10,190,000 and 9,120,000 Total Viewers, respectively.  ABC also won both nights among Adults 25-54.  Thursday's demo delivery (3.17 million/2.6 rating) was the broadcast's single highest rated day since February 26th. Thursday's broadcast was up 48% among  Women 18-49 and 49% among Women 25-54 compared to the previous day.
