Looks like CNBC had another great day, and today should look just as good. Too bad we don’t get Fox Biz numbers that…THOSE numbers would be interesting to watch.
Well!
My Fox babes did it again. Give me short skirts and low tops any time.
FOX NEWS IS THE BEST. MS NATIONAL BARACK CHANNEL AKA MSNBC IS AWFUL
EBB-BERT and Alex- YOU are amazing- The proof of the dumbing down of America.
Obviously you are the brainwashed fringe for whom intelligent news casts, pass you right by!
To dumb for Keith or Rachel, PERFECT for RUSH, BILLO and FIX KKK NEWS~
I am sure you love Palin! Just your type. Pregnant teen daughter, druggie son on rehab in the army, and a barracuda with lipstick, Karl Rove Intern in previous life and DEPEND CHANGER IN TRAINING for MC CAY! You guys are pathetic!HAHAHA!
You guys missed the story here. Maddow actually beat Olbermann. Likely just because she’s new, but that is how FNCs line up works too, with 9pm beating 8pm most of the time
Yes I might be shallow but a red-blooded America man.
Rebecca Gomez on FBC is so hot.
When she interviews the men, they stare at her like wolves.
Rebecca Gomez is my kind of women. la la la
Now if MSNBC really wants to take off here is what we need, I guarantee they will be the most viewed cable channel if they do the below:
4-5 Verdict with Dan A
5-6 CST HardBall with Chris Matthews
6-7 CST The Rosie O Donald Show
7-8 CST Countdown With Keith
8-9 CST The Rachel Maddow Show
9-10 CST Politics Unleashed with Bill Maher/ Or the Al Franken Show
10-11 Repeat Countdown
11-12 Repeat Rachel Maddow
12-1 Repeat Bill Maher and / or Al Franken
1-2 Repeat Rosie O Donald
2-3 Repeat Tweety AKA Chris Matthews
Joe,
Olbermann’s still the heavy hitter (although Maddow early numbers are promising) for MSNBC. That being the case, you’ve *got* to have his first airing on during prime-time (8-11) to maximize viewers. That’s when the money gets made.
Larry King, Wolf rarely do a solid or probing follow-up and along with Colbert and Stewart very little to like about cable news these days, until I found Keith, Chris and Rachel.
Keith, Rachel and Chris offer a very solid combination and a reason to view cable news again.
Fox has little beyond sensationalism, talking points right out of the ruling parties playbook and CNN has been very wrong too often to count or biased to a certain degree.
These are very important times for all of us and glad to see MSNBC had the bright idea to ‘get real.’ Keith has added something missing from this medium, that is ‘Truthiness’ on a network. Rachel is both smart and fresh. Chris offers valuable historical perspectives.
GO MSNBC (no, I don’t have a stake in any of the above or the Corps. they serve, nor have I had in the past).
Joe are you on drugs, MSNBC’s failure to really compete has nothing to do with it’s time slots, but it’s lineup period.
A good chunk of liberals are NOT news watchers. They are generally younger people who don’t focus on politics nearly as much as older people (who lean conservative)…
Mix that with the fact that MSNBC has been desked by out of the closet liberals simply confines viewership to those liberals who watch politics all the time.
The thinking you propose is one of the reasons why out of the closet liberal news sources who make zero effort to be balanced (like New York Times) is losing eyeballs on it’s at the fastest rate – in leiu of other news sources that DO try to be somewhat balanced. Politico, for example leans left, but it does try to be objective and at least gives the impression that it’s trying to be unbiased… and guess what, Politico is growing (both in terms of it’s newspaper and it’s online site.
Fox, which has been perceived to lean right, gets as much and many times MORE viewers the MSNBC and CNN combined because it makes an attempt to be balanced.
Liberals SAY they aren’t, however many many many independents and liberals watch Fox for one simple reason.
They want to at least KNOW what conservatives are saying and how the country is reacting to what both sides are saying.
MSNBC would have you believe that Democrats are right, even when the whole country is upset with them over an issue (like getting an energy policy in place).
Disagree with me if you like, but I have one thing on my side that is undenyable. The proof is in the pudding and the numbers above reflect this assessment.
here is the lineup that will tear it up
4-5 verdict with d a
5-6 The Randi Rhodes hour
6-7 Ed Shultz’s America
7-8 Hardball
8-9 Obermann
9-10 Maddow and Buchanon
10-11 repeat rhandi
11-12 repeat oberman
12-1 repeat M and B
Sanda: Your accusation of people being “dumb down” because they aren’t liberal is so typical of left wing zealots. You attempt to marginalize anyone who doesn’t agree with your socialist point of view. Has it occurred to you that it is indeed YOU who is being dumb down? I mean, really…Keith & Rachel? Wasn’t Rachel involved with that horrible disaster…what was it called…uh…oh yeah, AIR AMERICA! All the money Soros put in that dud and nothing!!! Why? Because most Americans don’t hate America, capitalism or God, unlike the extreme left wing liberals who’ve taken over the Democratic Party. Hence long time Democrats like Zel Miller & Joe Lieberman abandoning the party (that abandoned them first). More will follow, to be sure. MSNBC isn’t even trying to remotely resemble journalism anymore. It’s just a left wing propaganda machine (with the possible exception of Morning Joe).
Fox is the only fair news channel on cable. Every other channel treats the American people like they’re morons. They don’t want you to make a political decision, they want to make it for you. Thank God for Fox.
P.S. Keith Olbermann is pathetic.
Keith “O” is an absolute waste. The guy could make some points if he was not so hateful and disrespectful to anyone that is conservative. I will not even watch the pre show on football with him on there. I tune it out totally.
If MSNBC wanted to get into the ratings, bring up Joe from the morning.
I try to watch Rachel Meadow, just to see hows she’s doing. I just can’t help thinking “Is she a woman trying to look like a man, or is it the other way around?” Does she have to be So Plain? Does that make her more credible? It’s more of a distraction than anything else. Wise up, pick a gender and go with it!
MSNBC is horrible. It’s like watching the Haters Club of America.
All their hosts hate on fellow Americans. All their guests hate on fellow Americans
And why? They have a different opinion….what’s worse is MSNBC doesn’t have the courage or brains to interview people from both sides.
MSNBC should be considered a campaign channel for democrats.
Keith O is one of the most hateful, bigoted people I have ever seen. He is in the classic rage and bile talking head. I also quit watching Sunday night football. NBC is off my dial, completely.
Wow, the sad folks drinking the tainted kool-aid of Fixed News…how awful it must be to face yourselves in the morning. Everyone who believes that shit should take themselves outside and get hit by a car.
I watch FOX because of the fair and balanced journalism they practice. I switch to MSNBC during FOX adds for comic relief!!!..What a joke….it’s like your in a different country watching MSNBC….
hey mike, she’s a lesbion, duh
Hey Lexi,
don’t be hateful because we’re smarter than you. Maybe you should post your remarks on Daily Kos who wish that patriotic republicans like Cheney “get cancer and die”.
And yes, MSNBC is the tool of the Democratic party with the agenda to elect Obama who has a shady past and is associated with terrorists.
