They found something nice to say about "Opportunity Knocks". Via ABC press release:
Quick Take for Tuesday, September 30, 2008 (Fast Affiliate Live + Same Day Ratings)
In its Highly-Competitive Time Slot, ABC's "Opportunity Knocks" Retains 100% of It's Week-Ago Debut Young Adult Audience and Grows Across All Key Men Demos Jumping from its Lead-in by 9.1 Million Viewers and by 100% in Adults 18-49, "Dancing with the Stars" Earns Second in the 9 O'clock Hour with Viewers
"Opportunity Knocks" (8:00-9:00 p.m.) Building audience for ABC in the 8 o'clock hour opposite established series including Fox's "House," NBC's "Biggest Loser" and CBS' "NCIS," ABC's "Opportunity Knocks" retained 100% of its week-ago debut young adult audience (AD18-34 - 1.4/5 and AD18-49 - 1.8/5) and grew from its premiere across each of the key men demographics: M18-34 (1.1/4 vs. 0.9/3), M18-49 (1.4/4 vs. 1.2/4) and M25-54 (1.6/4 vs. 1.5/4). From start to finish, the ABC unscripted series gained 14% in Total Viewers (5.6 million to 6.4 million) and 11% in Adults 18-49 (1.7/5 to 1.9/5). "Dancing with the Stars" (9:00-10:00 p.m.) A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 28% currently, from 20% at the same point in 2007. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
