Broadcast has Posted the Largest Season-to-Date Gains of All
Sunday Morning Public Affairs Programs
FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER posted hefty double-digit percentage increases in all key measures last Sunday (5), sustaining the momentum established in the first week of the new television season the week before. The CBS News broadcast was up significantly versus the same day last year: +33% in households (2.4/07 from 1.8/05), +43% in viewers (3.24m from 2.27m) and +43% in adults 25-54 (1.0/05 from 0.7/04).
For the season, FACE THE NATION has posted the largest season-to-date across-the-board gains of all Sunday morning public affairs programs: up +33% in households (2.4/07 from 1.8/05), +44% in viewers (3.39m from 2.35m) and +43% in adults 25-54 (1.0/05 from 0.7/04).
Last Sunday's guests included Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Rep. Heather Wilson (R-N.Mex.), Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D-Mich.) and Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), as well as New York Times columnist David Brooks.
FACE THE NATION is broadcast Sundays (10:30-11:00 AM, ET; check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. The program's broadcast times are subject to disruption in many Mountain and West Coast markets from September through January due to live coverage of the National Football League.
