Univision The Only Major Network to Show Growth Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
NTI Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 10/06/08
- Univision the only major network to show growth in primetime versus the comparable week in 2007 among Adults 18-49 (+14%) and Adults 18-34 (+20%), while ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CW show declines.
- For the third straight week in the new season, Univision was the #1 primetime network on Friday night beating ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CW among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million). Additionally, Univision ranked as the #3 network in prime on Friday night among Adults 18-49 (2.0 million).
- On Friday night, Univision's had the Top 2 primetime programs thanks to #1 "Cuidado con el Angel" (Don't mess withan Angel) and #2 "Fuego en la Sangre" (Burning for Revenge) among Adults 18-34.
- Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34 and on 1 night among Adults 18-49.
- Univision was the #5 network in the country for the entire week in overall prime among all Adults 18-34 (1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (2.1 million), Persons 2+ (3.9 million) and Households (2.3 million).
- "Cuidado Con El Angel" (Don't mess withan Angel) made Univision the #1 network in the M-F/8-9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5 million) and #3 among Teens 12-17 (314,000).
- Univision's "Fuego en la Sangre" (Burning for Revenge) helped the network rank #4 in the M-F/9-10pm time period among Adults 18-34 (1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (2.8 million) and #2 among Teens 12-17 (342,000).
- On Tuesday night,"Fuego en la Sangre" (Burning for Revenge) was the #1 program of the night among Adults 18-34 (1.9 million) beating such popular English-language programs as FOX's "House" (1.6 million), NBC's "Biggest Loser 6" (1.8 million) and the CW's "90210" (1.5 million) among others.
- Univision delivered +6% more Teens 12-17 than the CW in overall primetime last week, making it the #5 ranked network.
- For two consecutive weeks, Univision captured the #1 network ranking in primetime among Kids 2-11 (538,000).
Of course UNIVISION is growing – millions of illegal Mexicans flooding into the US makes that rather inevitable.
Of course with the economy in the crapper, maybe alot of them will go home.
