There is hope that Barack will do something about Fox News. You gotta love him.

“I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” Obama told journalist Matt Bai. “[T]he way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak! I am the latté-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?”

  2. Chris Merrill

I’m no conservative. Fox News drives me up a wall, along with right wing radio. But if Obama makes any attempt to shut down FNC, I will rally to their side in a heartbeat. We don’t live in a country that can do things like that. And I’m glad that we do.
You seem to like Olbermann and Maddow though…you really should hate partisan news on both sides, or watch it purely for entertainment value. You clearly don’t.

Voltaire once said something to the effect of “I disagree with what you have to say but will fight to the death to protect your right to say it.” I stand by that 100%

  3. PapaBeargotPunked

Olbermann and Matthews punk FNC in key demo today and Maddow is very close. This is with just 50% the Traffic of FNC … imagine under a Obama Presidency as MSNBC’s traffic grows they are really gonna punk FNC … hahahahahaha.

  4. PapaBeargotPunked

Looks like Olbermann moved from 300K to 2.2 million over last 4 years while BOR is still down or at best flat. At this rate by next election Olbermann will have 15 million views.

  5. Chris Merrill

Yea, cause thats realistic. 15 million viewers a week? dream on. Most prime time shows on the network channels can’t hit that. And you think MSNBC is gonna pull that off? Thats not doubtful or improbable. Thats just not going to happen. period
And Bill has been up recently too. just check those weekly charts that get posted. Honestly, if you are going to post lies or crazy things, don’t make them so easy to refute.

  6. Jim

I’m curious what will happen to Olbermann’s “Countdown” ratings and Maddow’s ratings if Obama wins the Whitehouse. Since both programs are based on bashing Bush and now McCain (and all else Repubican), what will be a the heart of their programs. Yes, O’Reilly will still be around, but surely Keith can’t successfully keep much of an audience base with an all-O’Reilly obsession.

  7. PapaBeargotPunked

Clearly Olbermann is growing viewers which loyally watch even after elections while BOR sees only election spikes and then back down. I would be suprised if BOR is down back to 2 million in a few months and Olbermann goes to 2.5 million. Faux Noise would can BOR???

  8. Mr. Manly Man

I love Fox News because of the hot women on there.

Give me a hot chick with a mini skirt and I’m there all day long.

They know what men like. Rachel Maddow doesn’t turn me on.

  9. Chris Merrill

Olbermann is not clearly gathering viewers who are going to stay after the election, unless you’ve been conducting some sort of poll that I don’t know about. MSNBC has spiked before, during elections and fallen back. I see no reason why that won’t happen again. On the other hand, I see no reason for them to drop these numbers. But anyone who tells you they know what will happen is lying.

My only response to Mr. ‘Man’ is this – dear god what has happened to our country and our media. Oh and this – if thats the only reason people are watching your news channel, you are doing something wrong. News channels should be competing with each other and trying to scoop each other with investigations.
