"THIS WEEK" BEATS "FACE THE NATION" IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND A25-54

"THIS WEEK" GROWS 60% AMONG A25-54 AND 
54% AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS VS. LAST YEAR 

"THIS WEEK" INCREASES YEAR TO YEAR, SEASON TO DATE, 
WEEK TO WEEK AND 4th-QUARTER TO DATE 

ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" outperformed CBS' "Face the Nation" among Total Viewers and the key Adults 25-54 demographic for Sunday, October 19, 2008, according to Nielsen Media Research. With 3.40 million Total Viewers, "This Week" posted its largest total viewing advantage over CBS (530,000) in 5 years. The program also posted its largest A25-54 advantage over CBS (140,000) since March 2, 2008. 

 "This Week" continues to grow among both Total Viewers and the key Adults 25-54 demographic. Compared to last year, "This Week" grew a significant 60% among the key Adults 25-54 demographic and 54% among Total Viewers. Week to week, the program increased 9% among Total Viewers and 11% among Adults 25-54. "This Week" also grew season to date and 4th quarter to date; 35% among Adults 25-54 and 32% among Total Viewers. Finally, year-to-date, the program is up 14% among A25-54 and 10% among Total Viewers. 

George Stephanopoulos is the anchor of "This Week" and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
