Is Rachel Maddow the new Queen of MSNBC….Has Keith been De-Throwned, or is it the Obama factor that brought her high ratings….

I know…Keith won the Demo over Bill by a 7 thousand people…..yet O’Reilly still scored over 4.7 million viewers and Keith couldn’t hold his audience from Wednseday Night

  2. Fabfugarrie

Billos not going to be happy

  3. PapaBeargotPunked

Rich … Rachel had Obama on yesterday …. that is why her ratings were higher than Keith’s. Do you HW before making comments. Typical Republican low IQ … hahaha.

Also MSNBC has the No.1 and No.2 Highest Rated show in key demo. Olbermann beats O’Reilly 5 day in a row in the key demo. Looks like MSNBC is going to have higher ad rates and thus revenue than Faux Noise. Looks like O’Reilly is gonna explode. Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch are reportedly fuming .. hahahaha.

  4. people talking about BOR audience getting older, but the numbers show 1,604,000
under 25 compared to KO 185,000. KO wins one out of three numbers and crows about beating Billo. KO gave Dennis Prager WPiW and He didn’t show the entire clip. Prager stated the very things that KO was saying about the Bill of rights
(pre-obama). Prager offered to come on KO’s show or have KO come to his show,
the smart money is betting that KO will not accept either. Ko is gutless.

  5. America47000

Actually if you add the totals from the live show and the rerun, O’Reilly still wins across the board.

Maddow it seems is kicking ass. Maybe cuz she actually allows opposition interviews?

  6. Fabfugarrie

Rich, Your argument is like comparing apples and oranges or like comparing Billo ratings to Vannity ratings! The real issue is KO and Maddow beat them both in the demo!!! Thats where the money is! Thats what MSNBC and Fox are fighting for!!!! Thats all that matters! Not in the total number of viewers!! Advertisers dont care about all the old people living in the homes!!!

  7. PapaBeargotPunked

coal77 ….. is a retard who doesnt understand the imp of key demo. retard or as we call them Rethugs … here is why key demo is so imp.

All networks care about is the key demo …. advertisers dont pay for old geezers watching shows … thank godness!

At this point MSNBC will cost more $$$ to advertise on than Faux Noise and that is a fact! MSNBC will have HIGHER revenue as compared to Faux Noise that is a fact too! MSNBC will have higher profits than Faux Noise and that is a fact too! I bet that is all network execs care. They dont care if a million extra geezers watch O’Reilly.

O’Reilly’s head is exploding, Ailes is going nuts and Murdoch is losing it.

  8. and for the final time: mock or support FNC or any of its hosts, or mock or support MSNBC and any of its hosts, but mock *each other* and there will be no more commenting allowed on these posts.

  9. PapaBeargotPunked

Can we mock Rethugs in general?

  10. Rich

    Papa Bear,

Please, read my full post before you ask me to do my homeowrk….

I added Obama Factor in that question, but one must notice Maddow’s ratings increasing.

And I keep saying, before you all get excited, let’s see how KO’s show does after the election….

  11. moonlightfan

BillO didn’t like it at all, he named the head of Nielsen by name and called her out on her rating system yesteraday, he is calling for a federal investigation into the matter. He said, even though FNC is beating MSNBC in the ratings, they still need to be held accountable. Too many liberals on that team!!

You got to admit, never a dull moment with that guy.

  12. Fabfugarrie

Will KO’s rating be anymore affected than Billo’s after the election?

  13. moonlightfan

And I term ‘beating MSNBC’ with a mild sarcasm.

  14. moonlightfan

    And skepticism as well :)

  15. RfrancisR

All your demo are belong to us.

    Whoot to KO and RM!

  16. carl

How do you know that MSNBC is gaining ground, just look at O’Riley. He really looks pissed off with Nielsen :-)

  17. America47000

O’Reilly made a comment the other night that DVR numbers for a given night were something like 6000 for Campbell Brown and 300000 for Olbermann, a statistical anolmoly that goes beyond any standard deviation.

He also said at one point Nielsen credited him with having more homes watching than actual viewers, which is counterintuitive. And interesting if true.

His continued ranting about the ratings is a bit misguided and provides fodder for Olbermann. But those specific examples, if true, do seem to provide some context for his questions.

  18. jon

MSNBC–the new cable news giant. just imagine olbermann’s ratings if jon stewart wasn’t competeing with KO’s audience.

  19. America47000

After the election will be interesting. Since Olbermann has made it his sole mission to get Obama elected, he may have difficulty sustaining his momentum in an Obama administration. After all, people looking for pro-Obama propoganda can find it plenty of places. Olbermann won’t have Bush to pick on, or McCain. So what is he going to do? Snipe about certain members of the Republican minority in Congress for trying to block a bill they have no actual power to block? I don’t think that will work.

Though I find her somewhat shrill and more annoying in presentation than Olbermann, Maddow to her credit at least has more of a veneer of a news broadcast, and at least presents opposition opinions in addition to her own.

O’Reilly will probably be just fine. He is positioned as more of a watchdog. Considering the degree he has bashed the Bush administration over the bailout mess (though he supposedly just reads Republican talking points, according to the close-minded Olbermann), I don’t think O’Reilly will have any trouble finding fodder in an Obama/Pelosi administration. In fact, he might pick up more Republican viewers who will be increasingly turned off by other media outlets.

That is, of course, Obama is actually able to suppress the free voice of the press and censor any coverage of news that doesn’t cast him in the best possible light.

  20. Fabfugarrie

Censor the press sort of like what Billos is trying to do with the ratings?
