Oops, I meant Robert in regard to Saved By Zero. It was a long night watching the Steelers big win.

I buy almost nothing based on TV ads. In fact, ads often annoy me so much that I dont want to buy the product - the annoying Comcast ads have made me look into switching to satellite or FIOS. I buy mostly based on word of mouth from others who have bought the products and research on the net.

I agree with Bill about the Saved by Zero ads - I want to pull my hair out whenever that comes on. At least the HEAD ON commercials (most annoying commericials in history - wore out my remote batteries faster switching channels every time they came on) are a little less annoying, but because I was so annoyed I refuse to try any of their products - even if they work.

Mandy, I agree about product placement being DVR proof, but the point of the studies referenced is claiming value for the 30 second spots, even via fast forwarding during DVR playback.

point of ads is to generate buzz about the product and then hopefully get you to go out and buy it. if a show has alot of product placements it might help out because when you talk about the show you mention the producrs in the show
