O’Reilly destroyed Olbermann across the board last night. Do you think Obamamann will gloat about that?

Thus illustrates the problem with MSNBC’s open campaigning for Obama philosophy. The election is over, and they have nothing left in the tank.

You wanted him, you got him, Keith. But be careful what you wish for!

  2. Sonny

America47000 don’t get too excited. Look at the real numbers:

Nielsen Cable Network Coverage Estimates (as of March, 2008)

    CNN/HLN: 96.93 million HHs
    CNBC: 95.13 million HHs
    FNC: 94.55 million HHs
    MSNBC: 91.59 million HHs

MSNBC has almost 3 Million less reach (Household) than Fox, so comparing MSNBC and Fox News isn’t a fair game at all.
If MSNBC and FOX had exact HHS.. you bet your ass Countdown with Keith Olbermann will be kicking Bill O’s ass EVERYDAY!

  3. Sonny, I have no side in these arguments, but in the interest of things mathematical, that difference between the household coverage between Fox and MSNBC is 3.2%. So at most a few percent of their viewership differences are explained by their coverage differences.

  4. Sally

My cable company dropped MSNBC from basic channel lineup because no one watched it – good move.

Now if you want it, you gotta pay for it. I suspect little or no takers. HA!

  5. shobo

Can anyone tell me how to spell “slottered”. I have a great post but I want to make sure my spelling is correct. You know how those MSNBC libs have no defense to why there KO is getting KO’d by BIllo, so they go on the offense against bad spellers to show their intelect superiority.

    Thanks in advance…shobo

  6. America47000

If you do the math, O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. rating is 4.7% of Fox News coverage, while Olbermann drew only 2.5% of MSNBC’s coverage during the same time period. So even adding the extra coverage, statistically Countdown would still have been more than 2 million viewers short.

Besides, both beat CNN which has a HIGHER coverage zone. Although Olbermann should watch out for Campbell Brown

  7. America47000

    um

    slaughtered

  8. America47000

Dude, I don’t think that post helped your spellcheck cause …

  9. printboy

    Sonny….

Nielsen ratings are taken from viewers who receive both(all) shows.
So everyone who has one of the Nielsen cable boxes can be tracked what they choose to watch. That way they can be fair and balanced when they get their ratings

  10. Rich

MSNBC in 91 million homes, Fox News in 94 million homes.

    KO got 2.3 million viewers,

    B.O. got 4.4 million viewers.

Do you honestly think that if MSNBC was in 3 million more households, that 2/3rs of thouse households would all be watching K.O. They are not offered in thouse households in area’s because there just isn’t an audience. If there was, they would definitly be available.

    Let’s hear K.O.now!

  11. Rich

Plus, Fox News has 2 million less households then CNN and yet Fox continues to beat CNN out all the time. So that arguement means nothing.

  12. OMEGA919

The fact that more people aren’t watching Morning Joe is a sin. Seriously. Fox & Friends is hosted by three of the most annoying people in the world (Megyn Kelly is easy on the eyes, but I feel stupider for having listening to her speak), and American Morning is just boring.

How the hell are those two shows beating quality Morning Joe on a consistent basis!?

  13. KO guess what? you don’t matter anymore.

  14. shobo

    America47000

Apparently it was a poor attempt at a joke. You are not from the left are you?

  15. NoSpinMan

its over for msnbc. obama network will decline in nobama time at all.

  16. America47000

Sorry Shobo. My bad. Sarcasm doesn’t always translate in the written word.

I’m clearly not from the left

  17. America47000

    OMEGA:

Megyn Kelly, whom I love, co-hosts America’s Newsroom, which comes on after Fox & Friends. Although I agree the Fox & Friends hosts are annoying. But don’t pick on Megyn Kelly. She’s the anti-Maddow

  18. Ed

Megyn Kelly is not only great to look at, but she is one smart lady. If I needed a lawyer, she would be my choice. I think what makes F&F’s so popular, is they are entertaining. You can do whatever it is in the morning, without getting depressed. Morning Joe is sooooooo boring, in that they have the same folks an topics, day after day. If I want to listen to 3 hours of commercials for the DNC, that would be a good place to go. Gretchen Carlson, who happens to be from my home town, is just a fun type person. Also, you can get some topics that are in the News as well.

  19. Kenneth Morford

The question of the day is: “How much Bush-hate does it take to qualify one to govern the US?” The answer is: “If all it took were hating George W. Bush, Barack and company would provide the greatest US presidency of all time. (Too bad it really takes competence, maturity, experience, wisdom and judgment–all great Bush qualities which Barack has yet to prove that he has even one!) I predict Bill-O will continue to rule the nitetime forever.

  20. cattleman

    Mr. Gorman,
How does one find out how to monitor information on The Rush Limbaugh Show.
I would be interested to know if his numbers and Shawns have gone up or down since the election…as many of us who love O’Reilly also listen to Rush.
I think that people who hate Bush will not be as interested in seeing what Olberman has to say when Obama is in the white house.
I read on a blog a while back a whole slew of people on a site and they were all in a frizzy over why they loved MSNBC and it was all war crimes and lies and such and such as it all related to their hate of Bush.
Hate can be quite a motivator….
I think Olberman will be out of his element if he ever has to actually report news objectively and not be doing his psycho Edward R. Murrow on methamphetamines routine.

Olberman is a one trick PONY
