How do Liberals slam Bush for not following the Constitution when the first thing they want to do in office is throw out the first amendment to silence any news outlet that doesn’t explicitly kiss their ass?
News outlets should not be supporting politicians or candidates. Their job is to inform citizens who must make a decision as to who will represent them. That is why freedom of speech and freedom of the press is so important.
If anyone needs to go away it’s guys like Chris Matthews. It’s his job to help Obama’s presidency succeed? Because what this country needs is a successful presidency, in his eyes? Not that he hasn’t spent the better part of the past eight years trashing Bush, paving the way for Obama? Is Matthews saying that if Obama screws up, he will hide that info from the public. It’s a joke.
The best way to energize the conservative base that disappeared for McCain is to declare war on them, and if Obama tries to institute the fairness doctrine, he will be doing exactly that.
We need the fairness doctrine so Fox Noise will be stopped.

I had a litle button from Staples. One night while I was in the office it said…..”That was Easy.”
I looked at it and about 10 minutes later it did the same thing. After about 5 times of it doing this on its own….I went over and stomped on it and threw it in the trash.
Then after about a half hour I heard it again…”That was Easy!”
I ran in and dug it out of the trash and filled up a stainless steel bowl full of hot water and then stuck it down in the water..while laughing deliriously……
Then I took it and stomped up and down on it and threw it away…again.
The next day my little daughter came running in from the yard and said that the garbage bag on the back (now on the back of my truck) was talking to her.
Yes honey….”and what does the garbage sack say to you…..?

I went out and got in the truck and drove to the dump (Recycling Center) for city folks…and threw it in the compactor bin….as I was getting in my truck the man stopped the compactor and said…”Hey wait…I heard a voice in there!”

Excuse me Mr. Gorman, but I’m somewhat confused. You are upset at Jims comments about Obama and his “Arab buddies.” I’m not sure that’s exactly racism however. We just spent eight years listening to, reading posts from, and being overrun by comments about Bush and his “Arab oil buddies.” What the difference?

Leopold, the comment that got Jim banned was another one that I already deleted that was outright racist. Note that I left the Arab buddy comment in.
As for Pink Bear, I guess comments about entire organizations, particularly goofy comments, don’t seem as over the line to me, but that’s admittedly a matter of personal opinion.
Regardless, it is the past effort involved in moderating and banning folks from only these cable news comment threads that has caused us to disable commenting on all future cable news posts. It’s just not worth the effort to try and keep things civil when discussions are just fine on all our other posts.
i don’t remember for sure, but I think I hit my annoyance threshold with Pink Bear yesterday and just blocked all future comments from that IP address.
