Please keep Lipstick Jungle going…every time I start liking a show, NBC changes their mind on a show. NBC wonders why their numbers are so low…Stop cancelling good shows. Lipstick Jungle has a very talented cast with some very big names. Please do not replace this show with yet another Law & Order or some other stupid comedy like Kath & Kim. Just give Lipstick Jungle a chance.

PLEEEAAASE BRING BACK LIPSTICK JUNGLE! BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND LOVED WATCHING THIS SHOW! ENOUGH OF THE VIOLENCE ON TV, THIS WAS ACTUALLY ENTERTAINING, NOT DEPRESSING. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Erika, we don’t think it’s coming back at all. If it has to worry about shows on the CW, I definitely don’t see it ever coming back in any fashion whatsoever. I’ve seen nothing about it coming back next month and since production of new episodes was shut down and they haven’t made more episodes, that seems very unlikely.

But apparently some of the shows’ stars are trying to keep hope alive for winding up on cable:

First – I absolutely love the show. I think the reason for it not receiving enough viewers is due to airing day/time and the amount of publicity. Not many people are home on Friday nights and advertising for the show sucked. Monday you run into conflict with Gossip Girl, Tuesday 90210, Wednesday reality TV show, Thursday Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy. The fan base for this show is all over which is great and they need to utilize this fact to concentrate on one specific fan base – women in their late 20′s – 40s.
Secondly – I hard that the show was coming back in the next month of so. Is this true or false?

With the stock of the networks declining and the obviious incompetence of there management over the years, it is obvious to me why advertising is down. When you get a great show like lipstick that deals with real issues, with a great cast you would think the newtwork would have some moral committment to a real show then the crap we have to watch. That is why cable is my choice for all of the series, ie. Dexter, Big Love, L word. Wake up NBC you have the biggest winner of all shows on the tube, milk it don’t kill it. WHA

I can’t believe they cancelled Lipstick Jungle. Everyone is right… they keep all the crappy shows and cancel the really good ones. Lipstick Jungle was one of the best shows. Also Women’s Murder Club. That was the best detective show ever. Even my husband loved it. I think we should all buy a bunch of books and turn the TV off…. maybe that will send a message.

This is a great show.. and continues to be more interesting every episode. NBC has never really given this show a chance – this would be a great 8pm or 9pm time slot show on a Tues or Wed night- following a couple of good sitcoms.. I really hope we see it back – they keep cancelling the shows I love,and keeping crap shows..Hey- ER is leaving.. let’s give LJ a try in their time slot- I bet it would take off!!

I do hope that this show does continue as I love it! It is the “new” Sex and the City. The dynamic between the actors is great as well as their love interests. You would think in a time of great technological advancement people would be able to better figure out an accurate number of viewers as I am sure there are tons of individuals like myself who DVR shows and watch them later.

Hope NBC renews it as they have seemed pretty weak lately in the lack of non-reality programming

Well NBC cancels alot of good shows like Las Vegas they could of did one more episode to clear everything up. Lipstick jungle was a good show and It was a show about women and how they deal with everyday life. NBC should really listen to the viewers and not cut the good shows but cut the stupid ones like Kath and Kim come on that show is pointless. Better not even watch NBC any more because they always cancel there shows.

OK I really like Lipstick Jungle. I loved Womens Murder Club (cancelled) I love so many of the shows on all the major channels you can’t watch them all at the same time so dvr is needed. Secondly the major networks play musical chairs with all their shows so darned much it is sometimes hard to keep up! I personally hate this, it is frustrating and rediculous. LJ, Life moved on nbc… Greys anatomy, ugly betty, private practice moved on cbs, House moved on Fox it’s getting stupid already. You get your schedule all lined up and then whammo it’s all moved around. Personally I DVR them all because I get sick of 20 minutes of commercials during an hour show. It’s just too much. On DVR I can fast forward on the DVR and not subject myself to commercials I have no interest in. As far as neilson ratings the number of families involved versus the number of actual people in the world is not equal in any way, shape or form. Honestly I am getting sick of the musical chairs the networks play with the shows and scheduling. I don’t know about anyone else but enough is enough already. They moved Life from Fridays to tuesdays LJ to fridays Now on wednesdays at 9pm est they play RERUNS of law and order svu, a prime time spot gets reruns??? WTF are they thinking? All the channels are doing it and I for one am sick of it!

To all the people wondering how NBC could cancel such a “good” show:
The quality of a TV show has almost nothing to do with it being on the air or not. It’s all about ratings and money. That’s why shows like the critically acclaimed Arrested Development die, and shows like Dancing With The Stars get renewed year after year.

Remove the fact that you love the show from your mind, and look at the numbers, it doesn’t deserve to be on television. It’s not profitable, almost nobody is watching it, it has to go.

I love~love~love this show! It’s getting so good with Niko connecting with her boss too! What could we do to get NBC to listen? I have watched every episode on TIVO, because that’s when I can. You know…when the kids are sleeping! They seriously need to take the DVR numbers into consideration these days. How could they not? I don’t ever see any marketing for this show either. The friends that I’ve told about it are hooked now too. This truly sucks!

This is ridiculous! This has bee one of the best shows since sex in the city. Yes I know it can never compare but who is trying to compare the two shows? It’s has humor, interesting story lines and lovable characters. Maybe the network wants this show to fail. It’s not even publicized with commercials or on talk shows. Trust me I know. I haven’t seen them anywhere except for Kelly Ripa interest in the show. This really breaks my heart. The network did not put the show on a good time slot, it kept changing it’s air time. It’s sabotage. If NBC does not believe in the show; another network needs to pick it up and it will do well else where.

Plleease… All you ‘must watch it live’ people—Are you kidding???? Who does not Tivo or DVR most of their shows now-a-days? Time is a factor in everyone’s life and eliminating 15 minutes of commercials per hour of show is the way to go An entertaining show with women who have a mind and agenda that folks want to cancel??–Can anyone say Cagney & Lacey??? Powerful women apparently threaten male or quasi-male execs who bootlick the male majority who want yet another action packed shoot ‘em up show, that require no thought. Lipstick Jungle is a variant from the norm and is refreshingly entertaining.

I agree with Penny, sure my tv is on through out the week and I catch other shows, but this is the one show that I make sure has my full attention. I love the characters….and I can’t stand the idea of the series ending. I felt like a week was forever to wait-but never would totally stink!
I also think they just haven’t picked a “key” marketing time slot for the viewers it would capture and not conflict with other shows….
I hate all the “CRIME” shows, seriously all we have to do is watch the news…..they’re all the same “plot idea”. Watching Lipstick Jungle is like the lazy way to get to read a great book with a plot I can’t wait to see unfold between great friends I really relate to!

Please keep watching live you fans if that’s what they’re looking at?!

Politics oh sweet Politics…….Lipstick Jungle is the only thing I watch on TV….I use to watch Cashmere Mafia…..& Lipstick Jungle…& then you took away Cashmere Mafia to my dismay…however if you decide to take away this one & only Woman style tv series….I realize there is Desperate Housewives….sorry girls ….that show has never done anything for me…dah….I am afraid ….to see what will replace this…..another Dumb A%% Dective show? How can this happen? Perhaps you marketing people need to figure out a good time slot?

Fin, I’ll agree that Family Guy was brought back after being cancelled due to cable rerun success and DVD sales, but that was *after* it had done well in reruns and DVD sales while it was off Fox. But that rare case doesn’t apply to any of the new shows or writer’s strike second year shows that are at risk now. It’s all about the ratings for them.

Family Guy, Bill was picked up after being cancelled TWICE for just good merchandising (DVD Sales)? A show in the UK was never cancelled and goes for its 6th series because of around 400,000 DVD Sales (its called Peep Show)but has much less than the channels average veiwers (they have around 1.0-1.5 with network average at 2.0). Bill i think most shows do correllate to the 18-49′s but some networks may overlook it if they think that they’ll make more money elsewhere.
